Held during the school term at Broderick Gillwarna Special School on Albert Road, the Rainbow Club is on the hunt for more qualified swim teachers as demand in the service booms.
The club also plans to introduce a squad program for young adults with a disability at the Max Parker Pool.
It will incorporate social activities as well as personalised fitness goals.
Rainbow Club General Manager Catriona Barry said they would not be able to give this opportunity to children with a disability in the local area were it not for the support of Revesby Workers’ Club.
“Their generosity has been amazing and their Club Grants scheme has enabled us to provide stability in the Revesby community for children and families with a disability,” she said.
“Rainbow Club has NDIS Provider status and our unique Swim the Rainbow program is specially designed to offer a fun and safe weekend activity for children with a disability to swim, interact and play.”
