First coming to prominence when they were chosen to be Sydney Zoo Mini Zookeepers in 2019, the Greenacre Public triplets, now 11, even enjoyed a trip to Singapore as part of a zoo publicity event to bring back a rhinoceros before Covid struck and zoo travelling plans were put on hold.
However, Mum Daniela said the girls had a wonderful time with their Sydney Zoo involvement and getting to spend time with the animals behind the scenes.
“They are always coming up with ideas to do different things,” she said.
“One is school captain and the other two are prefects, they’ve started an environmental club at the school and have been doing a lot of musical theatre.
“They play refugee children in ‘Villawood The Musical’ on which a doco is being made and have been enjoying their roles in the 19-chapter podcast adaption of ‘Peter Pan’.”
Evie said: “The best part of creating this podcast has been being able to bring our favourite childhood story to life … now we get to be part of this magical world.”
Katerina said: “I have loved that with this project [despite it starting in Covid] we could still be creative.”
Irini said: “It has been a very special project because we created something amazing.”
With episodes released weekly, the podcast is available on all streaming services. For more info, go to bnt.org.au/peter-pan-podcast.
