Canterbury Bankstown Council’s CBfit offers the community affordable and innovative ways to train, stay healthy and keep active, regardless of fitness levels.
There are nine classes on offer from low impact yoga and pilates, to classes offering heart-racing workouts such as HIIT and cardio boxing.
Qualified trainers will personally guide and adapt exercises in small groups to ensure the experience is tailored to suit each user.
Mayor Khal Asfour said said he’s excited to roll out this new program at Max Parker Leisure and Aquatics Centre for all residents to enjoy, especially those living in Revesby.
“It brings me great pride to say we developed CBfit as a result of working closely with our community members and leading industry professionals to better understand what residents’ needs are so we can best meet them,” he said.
A council survey conducted recently revealed a shortage of flexible group fitness classes for users of the facility.
“Thanks to their direct feedback, we’ve been able to identify a gap in the market and fill that gap and meet those needs of our community as a souncil,” the Mayor said.
“We’re so confident in our new fitness program that we’re giving every resident an opportunity to trial CBfit for free up until May 15.”
