So you can imagine the club staff surprise when he signed up for this year’s Cancer Council fundraiser ’Stars of Sydney’s South West’ which follows the same competition style as ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
“My family are quite amused at the prospect of my performance but I am committed to the project having known friends and family who have suffered and am to raise $5,000 to help beat this killer,” he said.
“The only thing in my favour is that I have been partnered with dance teacher Holly Bishop who was last year’s winner.
“I drew the Irish dancing genre at the launch of the competition and luckily Holly has experience working with Riverdance so I’ve got my fingers crossed although as staff have said to me, she’ll need to be a miracle worker.”
The main event will be held at the Revesby Workers’ Club on Saturday, June 26, and while every little bit helps with donations, individuals or companies who donate as gold, silver or platinum sponsors will receive free tickets/tables to the night of fun, dancing, food and entertainment.
To make a donation, go to stars.cancercouncil.com.au and search for Craig.
