Inspiring women call for change at events

THE community came together on Monday at several events celebrating International Women’s Day (IWD). Canterbury Bankstown Chamber of Commerce hosted a dinner at Bankstown Sports which featured a group of inspiring panelists speaking about their own challenges, helping bring attention to gender parity and women’s rights, while at Revesby Workers’ Club, TV personality Jessica Rowe (pictured with club president Daryl Melham and Mayor Khal Asfour) led the charge calling for change at a luncheon to celebrate women’s achievements in the social, economic, cultural and political spheres.
