Several charged during police blitz at Bass Hill

POLICE have charged 14 people, including eight for allegedly driving without a licence and two for drug possession, during a seven-hour proactive operation at and around Bass Hill Plaza on Friday, January 15.

Targeting unroadworthy vehicles, impaired driving, property theft, antisocial behaviour and transport offences, Operation Spoiler was conducted between 11am-6pm and involved a total of 28 officers from Bankstown Highway Patrol, the Bankstown Proactive Team, Police Transport Command and the Dog Squad.
Officers also issued eight move-on directions, nine infringements for unregistered/uninsured vehicles, five for seatbelt offences and 13 for other offences, and a spokesperson said further proactive operations could be expected.
