Covid alert for commuters

COMMUTERS using Lidcombe train station are urged to be alert to coronavirus symptoms after a worker at a quarantine hotel tested positive on Thursday.

Anyone who may have been in the same carriage is considered a close contact and should immediately get tested and self-isolate until further notice, while those who know they were not in the same carriage still need to get tested and self-isolate until a negative test result is received.
This includes anyone who travelled by train on the following days:
• Friday 27 November – T8 Line departing Minto platform 1 at 05:03hrs and arriving Glenfield platform 1 at 05:12hrs, 7th car of the train. T2 Line departing Glenfield platform 2 and arriving Lidcombe arriving platform 3 at 05:50hrs, 7th car of the train.
• Friday 27 November – T2 Line departing Central platform 19 at 16:19hrs and arriving Lidcombe platform 4 at 16:48hrs, 2nd car of the train.
• Saturday 28 November – T1 Line departing Central platform 18 at 15:41hrs and arriving Strathfield platform 8 at 16:13hrs, 1st car of train. T1 Line departing Strathfield platform 8 and arriving Lidcombe arriving platform 4 at 16:30hrs, 1st or 2nd car of the train.
• Sunday 29 November – T1 Line departing Central platform 18 at 17:10hrs and arriving Lidcombe platform 4 at 17:42hrs, 1st car of the train.
• Monday 30 November – T1 Line departing Lidcombe platform 1 at 06:15hrs and arriving Central platform 16 at 06:35hrs, 7th car of the train.
• Monday 30 November – T8 Line departing Central platform 23 at 15:29hrs and arriving at Minto platform 2 at 16:19hrs, 7th car of the train.
People who travelled on the Light Rail line are advised to check times listed at nsw.gov.au/covid-19 and to get tested immediately and self-isolate, until a negative test result is received. They should monitor for symptoms and re-test if they develop.
Additionally, anyone living in the Minto and Lidcombe areas who is feeling unwell – no matter how mild the symptoms – is urged to come forward immediately for testing, and to isolate until a negative result is received.
