With more than 30 food stalls, these markets are the perfect spot to get presents for those hard to buy for family members or friends as well as a great opportunity to join in the Christmas spirit and have a wander and bite to eat.
There will be a schedule of children’s activities including a Santa’s workshop craft stall, as well as a range of musical performances.
International food stalls will offer many exotic delights like ramen burgers, Asian bao buns, Italian street food and a gourmet haloumi stall plus desserts such as artisan gelati, gluten-free hot donuts, Dutch poffertjes, American-style cookies and much more.
Director of the Foodies & Farmers Markets, Christina Chakos is looking forward to bringing over 40 years’ experience operating Farmers Markets at night to Peakhurst which is normally only on offer on Saturday mornings and then Hurstville during December.
“Our night markets are a great way to catch up with family and friends and enjoy the outdoors and community atmosphere,” Christina said.
The markets will also include artisans selling unique handmade trinkets, jewellery and beautiful Christmas gifts plus a line-up of produce available with some interesting offerings from a vineyard in the Southern Highlands, a cherry farmer from Young and a Balkan bakery as well as a local cheese and dairy producer.
With decorative Christmas fairy lights to add to the ambience of the Christmas theme, the Foodies & Farmers’ Christmas Markets will be a magical experience to behold.
Catch the Foodies & Farmers’ Christmas Markets at Peakhurst on November 27 and Hurstville Plaza on December 4, 11 and 18, 4-10pm.
