Mr Condi has worked at Bankstown Sports for over 28 years and has experience in almost every hospitality role.
He began his career as a ‘useful’ or ‘glassy’ after he finished high school, and slowly worked his way up through positions such as carpark attendant, reception, events, bar and gaming.
He was then promoted to Supervisor, then Duty Manager, IT Manager, Gaming Manager, Assistant Secretary Manager and finally, CEO.
Mr Condi was commended for his exemplary leadership over the years, particularly during Covid-19.
He says he is honoured to receive a Bankstown Sports Life Membership.
“I have spent my entire adult life working at Bankstown Sports and I can’t imagine working anywhere else,” he said. “It has been amazing to experience the club’s growth and diversification and I look forward to continuing to make a difference.”
Mrs Butters has been a club director for 10 years and the driving force of Revesby Workers’ Little Athletics for 20 years.
She has been the Liaison Director for the Revesby Ladies Group, the Garden Club, Darts, Scrabble, Underwater spearfishing and Toastmasters clubs.
Regularly participating in umbrella body ClubsNSW activities, she was elected last year to the Western Metropolitan Region Committee.
“There is no doubt of Christine’s significant contribution and she has well-earned this honour,” Club Vice President John Rodwell said.
Mrs Butters described being awarded the Life Membership as very humbling.
“It’s an acknowledgement of what I’m doing and what I will continue to do which is putting time and effort into the local community,” she said.
