Appeal in woman stabbing

DETECTIVES are again appealing for public assistance after a woman was seriously injured when she was stabbed in Marrickville last year.

About 2.45am on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, emergency services were called to Arthur Street, Marrickville, where they found a woman suffering multiple stab wounds. The 32-year-old was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where she underwent surgery for wounds to her neck, back and arms.
Strike Force Botts was established by detectives from Inner West Police Area Command to investigate the incident.
Police have been told a woman entered a unit before confronting and stabbing the 32-year-old. The injured woman managed to flee the unit and alert emergency services.
As inquiries continue, detectives are appealing for public assistance to identify and locate the woman involved.
The woman is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 170cm to 175cm tall, with a thin build, dark hair and brown eyes. She was wearing light-coloured pants, black shirt, black shoes with white socks, fingerless gloves, a black hat and red scarf.
