Singer to muster up magic of Celine Dion

YOU would be forgiven for thinking you were listening to the powerful vocals of Celine Dion when Ria Pirelli (pictured) performs her musical tribute to the superstar.

Find out for yourself when she takes to the stage at Canterbury League Club on Saturday, February 15.
“She (Dion) is the ultimate contemporary singer, I love her voice and the way she uses it – she can do it all, her voice control is brilliant and she makes it look easy,” Ria said.
Combining power ballads such as My Heart Will Go On with up-tempo songs like River Deep Mountain High and The Power of Love, expect Ria to perform the songs in perfect sync to a spectacular visual background which lends an electrifying aspect to the show, making you think you’re sitting in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
In 2008, Ria formed the musical group, Audio Vixen, with her sister Christine and brother Ross, and together the Bass Hill siblings have since gone on to perform and produce many musical shows.
“Celine is an artist who I admire so much but I knew it would be really emotionally and physically exhausting to perform all of the big numbers she has,” Ria said.
“If people come to the show and then leave feeling they have experienced a little of Celine Dion magic, then I know that we have done our best.”
Show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost $10. Bookings: canterbury.com.au or 9704 7777.
