Mum Jessie said they really weren’t expecting a new year’s day baby.
“But it will be a very easy birthday to remember,” she said.
Weighing in at 3.33kg and 53cm long, Scarlett’s arrival has also been welcomed by her big sister Amelia who is two-and-a-half.
“The baby is a bit of a novelty at the moment,” Jessie said.
Experiencing a pretty quick delivery just four hours after arriving at the hospital, the 32-year-old said her husband James, 31, was very pleased their second daughter was born in 2020.
“It’s an ideal date for him,” she said with a laugh.
“He said it puts her on the right side of the cut off dates for sporting selection and gives her an advantage if she plays sport.
“He plays hockey but he will be happy if they play any sport.”
