Seize $50,000, drug worth $386,000

TWO men have been charged as part of an investigation into an alleged criminal syndicate supplying illicit drugs across Sydney.

Police raided three units at Condell Park, Wiley Park and Canley Heights, allegedly seizing $50,000 cash and nearly 1kg of cocaine with an estimated potential street value of $386,000, last Tuesday.
Strike Force Iandra was formed a year ago to investigate the activities of the syndicate involved in the supply of prohibited drugs – mainly methylamphetamine (ice) and heroin – across Sydney and so far, three men aged 27, 28 and 31 have been charged.
During the raids police also allegedly seized cannabis, methylamphetamine (ice), magic mushrooms (psilocybin), electronic items and equipment consistent with the manufacture of prohibited drugs. All items will undergo forensic examination.
A Canley Heights man, 27, was charged with supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime. He was refused bail to reappear March 29, while a second 27-year-old from Wiley Park, was charged with eight offences, including supply prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), three counts of possess prohibited drug, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, and two counts of deal with property proceeds of crime.
