“It is wonderful to see a talented local artist included in this prestigious exhibition,” Ms Mihailuk said.
Works to hang in Parliament House
MY Le Thi (centre) was congratulated by Bankstown Art Society’s Diane Yousouf and State MP for Bankstown, Tania Miahiluk, after some of her works were selected to hang in Parliament House as part of the Our Place Art Exhibition from March 2 to 31.
The Bankstown artist, who migrated to Australia in 1985 from Central Highlands, Vietnam, was selected to be one of the rare few to have their works on show in Parliament House.
Thi practises mixed-media, digital and video arts, and her work speaks of the differences and similarities between people of colour, language and culture.
