She was one of 60 delighted residents at the home to be gifted a flower to mark Valentine’s Day courtesy of Cihan’s father, Nevzat ’Nev’ Aslan, the owner of the Berala Kebab House.
Every year for the past six years, the Aslan family has hand delivered roses to IRT residents in celebration of Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, something Nev says he does just “to make other people happy”.
