DEMONSTRATING the way music helped him survive a turbulent childhood and adolescence, award winning recording artist and performer Daniel ‘D Minor’ Harvey was happy to showcase some of the ‘bells and whistles’ available for use in the Granville Centre’s new recording studios for Cumberland Mayor Steve Christou.THE ribbon was officially cut at the new Granville Centre last Tuesday during a day of low key celebrations in line with Covid-19 restrictions.
The day did include a live broadcast with Alive 90.5, with Poppy the Possum also joining Cumberland City Mayor Steve Christou for an appearance on Channel 7’s Sunrise television show.
Located in the heart of Granville, the council’s newest community hub includes a library, creative production suites, art gallery, café, multi-sports courts and playground, multipurpose community spaces and a commercial kitchen, as well as a new entrance to the swim centre.
Sixteen versatile community spaces suitable for events, meetings, training and a range of community and recreational programs and services, are available for regular and casual hire.
