Detectives have released CCTV footage as investigations continue into two armed robberies of brothels in Sydney's south-west earlier this year.
Just before 2am on Monday, January 15, 2018, three men - one armed with a firearm - entered a business on Birmingham Road, Villawood, where they threatened employees, before stealing cash and mobile phones.
During the incident, a 56-year-old man was assaulted. He sustained minor injuries to his arms and lip.
In a separate incident, about 3am, three men - one armed with a firearm - entered a business on Lancaster Street, Ingleburn.
They threatened a 58-year-old male employee, before taking cash and fleeing the scene.
Crime scenes were established at both locations and examined by specialist forensic officers.
Detectives from the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad established Strike Force Moogerah to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incidents, which they believe are linked.
Investigators have since seized two paintball guns during a search warrant in the Fairfield area, which are believed to have been used during the robberies. They are undergoing forensic examination.
As their inquiries continue, Strike Force Moogerah detectives have released CCTV footage and images of three men they believe may be able assist with inquiries.
The men are depicted as being of Pacific Islander appearance, aged in their late teens or early 20s, and wearing baggy clothing.
Strike force detectives are appealing for anyone who recognises the men or has information relevant to the investigation to contact police.
Anyone with information that may assist Strike Force Moogerah detectives is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence.
