Cottage’s restored

CUMBERLAND Council has completed work on restoring the heritage listed 'Councillors Cottage' at 10 Carlton Street in Granville. Joining Mayor Greg Cummings and fellow Councillor Joe Rahme to inspect the work done on the building, Cr Steve Christou said he was impressed with the restoration. "Cumberland Council staff did a great job," Cr Christou said.

Have high rise say
A PLANNING proposal to lift the maximum height of Building 3 at 1-11 Neil Street in Merrylands by four storeys, from 39m to 50m, and amend floor space ratios, is open for public comment until August 22. Lodged by the Landmark Property Group, the site already has a development application approved for 12 stories accommodating 178 units.

Hunt for members
RIVERSIDE Theatres is seeking community members to join its Advisory Board to help guide the venue's future direction. The Advisory Board consists of up to eight members of the public, City of Parramatta Council's CEO or nominee and up to four councillors. Expressions of Interest close on Thursday, August 16.
