Make arrest over assault of women

POLICE have charged a man following an investigation into the alleged indecent assault of three women in Auburn.
Between 9.30pm on Saturday, June 30, and 1.50am on Sunday, July 1, three women were allegedly indecently assaulted in separate incidents by a man in residential streets in Auburn.
Police will allege that all three women, aged 54, 35 and 24, were approached from behind and held for a short period of time before being indecently assaulted by the man.
Two women sustained minor injuries during the incidents, and all three incidents were reported to Auburn Police and an investigation was launched.
About 7.10pm last Wednesday, Auburn detectives, with assistance from the State Crime Command's Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad, arrested a 26-year-old man at Lidcombe Railway Station.
The man was taken to Burwood Police Station where he was charged with three counts of take and detain and three counts of indecent assault.
