First one home to
unpack all baggage

From page 1
After facing a few personal crises of her own, Mae finds herself returning home to help take care of her father who is undergoing cancer treatment and maybe even (a little) herself.
Rodgers said: "I play 'Dad' and the story reflects on the intimacy between a parent and a child; he is unsure whether to suggest a life direction to her or just give her the freedom to make her own plans.
"It is a beautifully funny script, of course, couched in the humanity of a family.
"Most of us have experienced the loss of a loved one and clutch at comedy and humour to survive.
"This play celebrates all of our little foibles; human beings in all of their glory."
'You Got Older' received its world premiere with Page 73 and has most recently played as part of Steppenwolf's 2018 program.
It has also received multiple awards including the Obie Award for Playwriting, Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding Play, Kilroy's List, and was a Susan Smith Blackburn finalist.
