SINCE graduating from the Goulburn Police Academy last month almost 30 probationary officers have been busy learning the ropes at the Cumberland and Auburn Police Area Commands (PAC).
Of the 234 new graduates, 19 started their new careers as police officers at the Cumberland PAC where education and development officer (EDO) sergeant Sharon Bell said they were settling in well.
At the Auburn PAC, EDO constable Paul Doyon said their group of new graduates were also off to a good start.
"The 10 new officers vary in ages between 21 and 30 and live in areas from Wollongong, Heathcote, Campbelltown and North Rocks," he said.
"All bring their own brand of enthusiastic energy to the Command and are keen to learn all that is needed to perform the duties of constable.
"They will undergo a period of instruction under more senior officers along with a series of examinations and assessments until they are confirmed as constables in 12 months' time."
