Tamara Lewis and Julie Milsom from Dooleys Lidcombe Catholic Club are inviting the community to join them and raise a cuppa in support of this year’s Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser on Thursday, May 24.
ONE Australian is diagnosed with cancer approximately every five minutes - the length of an average tea break.
Now in its 25th year, Australia's Biggest Morning Tea is one of Cancer Council's leading fundraising events with money raised helping to support life-saving cancer research, prevention, advocacy and support programs for people facing cancer.
Dooleys Lidcombe Catholic Club will host their annual morning tea fundraiser on Thursday, May 24. Doors open at 10am for a 10.30am start, with a $10 donation on entry with all funds raised going to the Cancer Council.
As well as a morning tea, guests will hear from a Cancer Council guest speaker there will also be a raffle and lucky door prizes along with craft items for sale donated by the Dooleys Craft group. Bookings are available at Dooleys' member services desk.
While the official day to host a morning tea is May 24, events can be held any time in May or June.
