Man stabbed, another arrested in Auburn

A MAN is under police guard following a stabbing at Auburn.
About 7.30pm yesterday (Thursday 3 May 2018), police were called to a home on Gibbons Street, after an altercation between two male occupants of a share house.
Investigations suggest that during the argument, a 55-year-old man struck a 46-year-old man in the head with a kettle and stabbed him in the hand with a knife.
Police from Auburn Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
The younger man was taken to hospital with hand and head lacerations. He is in a stable condition.
The older man was arrested and taken to Auburn Police Station.
Inquiries continue.
