There will something for everyone when the new Moxon Sports Club celebrates it multi-million dollar renovations.
TO celebrate the opening of Moxon Sports Club after its multi-million dollar makeover, an open day will be held, and everyone is invited.
The open day will be held on Sunday, April 29 from 10am to 3pm, and will be jam-packed with free activities for the whole family, including a jumping castle, face painting and balloon art, live entertainment from Oscar Kami and beginner tennis and lawn bowls sessions.
A group of Bulldogs players will also make an appearance from 11.30 to 1pm for a meet and greet and fan signing session. The players will also test their skills on the club's tennis courts and lawn bowling green. The Bulldogs merchandise van will be onsite.
Outside there will be a barbecue with sausage sandwiches, cold drinks and plenty of seating, but if you want something more substantial then inside is Bistro on Moxon.
The Canterbury Bankstown Tennis and Bowls Club received approval to amalgamate with the Canterbury League Club In December 2016, and underwent an extensive $3 million renovation. As part of the upgrade, the Club was renamed Moxon Sports Club as a tribute to its location on 61 Moxon Road, Punchbowl.
"It's going to be a fantastic day with lots of fun activities for everyone," Canterbury League Club CEO Dave Brace said.
"Moxon Sports Club is a great little club in Punchbowl and is a convenient meeting point for the local community. I invite everyone to come and visit the Club for themselves and enjoy a great day out on us" he said.
