'LEAVE No Woman Behind' is the theme to celebrate International Women's Day 2018 at Petersham Town Hall with a twilight supper on Thursday.
Each year, the council invites local women to join the global International Women's Day celebration that recognises the social, economic and political achievements and challenges of women globally.
The festivities, which start at 5pm with a light supper with complimentary glass of sparkling wine, include Kween G as MC, a performer with a fighting spirit for women's rights; Shukufa Tahiri, an Afghanistani refugee who now works for the Refugee Council of Australia, Christine Robinson, Wirringa Baiya from the Aboriginal Women's Legal Centre and Gisele Mesnage, born legally blind, whose passion is to bring about legal reforms to create an inclusive digital society.
