CCTV footage of suspicious fire

Police have released CCTV footage of a man and vehicle as they continue to investigate a suspicious fire in Newington in July.
Just before 1.30am on Thursday 6 July 2017, emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle fire outside a home on Watt Avenue.
NSW Fire & Rescue attended and found the blaze had spread to the house, which was unoccupied at the time.
The blaze was extinguished, however had destroyed the Mercedes Benz and caused significant damage to the two storey home.
A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic officers.
Detectives from Flemington Local Area Command are investigating the fire and have now released CCTV footage of a man and a vehicle who they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.
The man depicted is described as being between 170cm and 180cm tall, of an average build, and with short hair. He is wearing a blue hooded jumper, dark coloured pants and shoes.
The vehicle depicted is described as being a white Holden Cruze.
Police are urging anyone with any information or who might be able to assist in identifying the man to come forward and contact Auburn Police Station via Crime Stoppers.
