A GUILDFORD man has been charged in relation to his alleged role in the murder of Kemel Barakat at a unit in Mortlake in March this year.
Detectives from Strike Force Yarramba, which was established to investigate Mr Barakat's death, arrested the 28-year-old at a Guildford home in an early morning raid on Wednesday morning.
He was charged with murder, accessory before the fact to murder, participating in a criminal group and contributing to criminal activity.
Police will allege in court that the man was involved in the planning of the murder, which included coordinating access to the home unit.
Shortly afterwards another search warrant was executed at a home at Lidcombe and investigations under Strike Force Yarramba are ongoing and further arrests are expected.
