TWO Inner West pubs have joined a campaign asking Aussies to raise a glass on Friday, November 3, and 'Toast 2 Love' in the final days of the Same Sex Marriage (SSM) survey.
The Lord Raglan at Alexandria and Young Henrys in Newtown are among the 15 pubs, bars and venues around Australia supporting the campaign by putting on a special 'Love2' brew, a pale ale beer by The Good Beer Co and Bright Brewery, on tap.
The Good Beer Co founder, James Grugeon, said he wanted to 'Toast 2 Love' to thank everyone who had already voted 'yes' and to urge those who hadn't returned their survey yet to do it quickly before the November 7 deadline.
"This is a celebration of love for all those 'yes' voters out there," he said.
"I hope to be toasting LGBTIQ friends at their own marriages in Australia before long."
Funds from the sale of the beer are also being pledged to the Australian Marriage Equality campaign, and supporters can post photos at facebook.com/goodbeerau.
