Rider injured in fail to stop

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop crash at Lidcombe this week.
About 8.25am last Tuesday (October 17), the rider of a Harley Davidson motorcycle was travelling north along Joseph Street.
Police were told the driver of a car changed lanes in front of the rider, causing him to take evasive action.
The rider fell to the ground causing serious injuries to his left wrist and hand and was later taken to Westmead Hospital for surgery.
The driver of the car, only described as being an older model white Ford or Holden sedan or station wagon, left the scene without stopping.
Investigators from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.
