TIME is running out to nominate outstanding teachers in the 2018 Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards with entries closing on October 12.
Now in its second year, the Commonwealth Bank Teaching Awards will offer 12 Fellowships worth $45,000 for teachers and school leaders who are inspiring and transforming the lives of Australian students.
Each Fellowship includes $10,000 for the teacher's professional development and participation in a 12- month fellowship program including a study tour to Singapore valued at $5,000. In addition, each winner's school will receive $30,000 to fund a project designed to improve students' performance and wellbeing.
Since being awarded their fellowship, the 2017 award winners have used their $30,000 funding towards remarkable projects in their classrooms and schoolyards.
Teachers and school leaders from all sectors of the Australian schools system – government, Catholic and Independent – can apply or be nominated for the awards.
