NAMED after their three children, Zoe, Don and Ava, Cafe Zodova does a roaring trade thanks to its proximity to Granville TAFE, locally based businesses, unions and Premier cabs, according to owners Sacha and George.
Featuring high quality yet affordable food that's cooked fresh from scratch each day, the family owned and run cafe offers an all day breakfast as well as a range of hot and cold meals, great coffee and a selection of gourmet burgers and wraps on quinoa, soy, sourdough, rye or Turkish breads starting from just $4.50.
Some of the popular dishes includes the Big Breakfast with the works, pancakes, Haloumi and Mediterranean veggie stack, Brekki Brulee with poached pears, the pomegranate and orange glazed salmon, the tempura battered barramundi burger, the Portuguese chicken burger, the Mexican burger, crisp or creamy salads and a selection of delicious pasta dishes.
All halal, Sacha says 80 per cent of the business is from repeat customers and there is a big demand for catering in the area.
"Just last week we had eight corporate catering orders," she said.
"I can do everything from hot platters, cold platters and finger food options, to bulk salads, hot meals or burgers.
"The customers love that our food is fresh everyday; you can really taste the difference and also that we are open daily from 4am to 5pm.
"We get a lot of people popping in for breakfast and coffees before coming back later for lunch or an afternoon snack. And if you're here by 5pm, you can pick up something for dinner on the way home too."
