AMERICAN DJs Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, AKA The Chainsmokers, will bring their massive sound and light show to the Sydney Showgrounds on October 21.
Blurring the lines between indie, pop music, dance music and hip-hop, the duo finally dropped their debut album Memories...Do Not Open in April after achieving success with a string of chart-topping singles over the previous 18 months.
Starting with the single Roses in 2015, the duo backed it up with the phenomenal, multi-platinum tune Don't Let Me Down featuring Daya and the smash hit Closer featuring Halsey.
Closer became the longest running number one ARIA single in 2016 and hit more than one billion views on YouTube worldwide.
The singles All We Know, Paris and the Coldplay collaboration Something Just Like This followed, helping to cement The Chainsmokers' place in pop and at the top of global music charts.
They are just the third group/duo to have three different singles - Something Just Like This, Paris and Closer - in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously, a feat previously only accomplished by The Beatles and the Bee Gees.
Bringing the party to their Australian fans, tickets for The Chainsmokers' the 'Memories ... Do Not Open World Tour' go on sale from Friday, August 4, at 10am.
