Pedestrian hit by car in Belmore

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Belmore today.
Shortly after 1pm (Wednesday, July 12), emergency services were called to Leylands Parade, Belmore, after reports a woman was hit by a vehicle.
The injured woman, aged in her early 40s, sustained a serious leg injury.
She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St George Hospital where she remains in a stable condition.
The driver of the Toyota Seca, a man aged in his 60s, and his male passenger were not injured.
Officers from Campsie, with the assistance of the Crash Investigation Unit attended and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the crash, and are especially interested in anyone with dash cam vision of the incident to contact Campsie Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
