Police accompany the Padstow Heights resident to Campbelltown Police Station where she was charged with historic child sex offences.
A FORMER juvenile justice officer has been arrested at Padstow Heights and charged over historic child sex offences allegedly committed at a Juvenile Justice Centre.
Strike Force Redcliffe was established to investigate allegations of sexual abuse by former juvenile justice officers at a detention centre in Airds, near Campbelltown.
The allegations were raised at the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sex Abuse. Following extensive inquiries, Strike Force detectives arrested a 43-year-old woman at a home in Padstow Heights about 8.45am on Tuesday. She was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where she was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault.
Police will allege in court the woman assaulted a juvenile inmate at a detention centre in Airds between 1996 and 1997.
Investigations under Strike Force Redcliffe are continuing and further arrests are expected.
