The Ateliers Orsini exhibition is part of the Inner West Open Studio Trail.
AS part of the Inner West Open Studio Trail (IWOST), Ateliers Orsini will be presenting a spectacular exhibition of painting and lights this weekend.
In this exhibition, Rita Orsini displays her latest signature, hand-painted, artist lamps, the Orsini Light - in collections across Europe and Australia, her paintings and her colourful Osso Buco resin work.
Ms Orsini is a program producer, object designer and artist, with a passion for contemporary design, applied arts and languages.
"I have built a strong reputation as a visual explorer, cross-cultural mediator and language professional, developing a range of French and contemporary programs for museums and tertiary institutions," she says.
She will speak about the design, the making and the inspiration behind her artworks. All artworks are for sale at studio prices.
Part of weekend's events, a bookbinding workshop in French will be held at the studio on Sunday, May 21, 9.30am-12.30pm.
You'll be able to create a hand-stitched booklet while practising your French.
Learn by creating and enjoy a practical and social experience of the language.
Designed for adult learners of French, the workshop is conducted entirely in French. No previous bookbinding experience needed. Cost of $95, includes materials and instructions.
The exhibition will be on Saturday and Sunday, May 20-21, at 205 Old Canterbury Road, Dulwich Hill (entrance via Fairmount St).
