Child hit by car ‘serious’

A CHILD remains in Westmead Hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by a car at Padstow last Wednesday.
Emergency services were called to Davies Road at Padstow about 3.50pm, after a 10-year-old boy was hit while crossing the road near the intersection with Trevone Street.
The child was treated by paramedics for multiple injuries and was taken in a stable condition to The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
The female driver was mandatory tested for drugs and alcohol. No charges have been laid. Police are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
