Crowd expected to honour fallen at memorial services

THOUSANDS of people are expected to gather for dawn services at cenotaphs and memorials to commemorate the men and women who have served and died in wars and other conflicts this ANZAC Day.
There will several local events including:
• Sunday, April 23, 10.30am: Service at the Campsie RSL Club.
• Tuesday, April 25, 6.50am: March down Beamish Street and dawn service at ANZAC Mall, Campsie, followed by a Family Day.
• Sunday, April 23, 2pm: March from Canterbury Boys High School to Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Club for memorial service at 2.30pm.
• Tuesday, April 25, 5.30am: Dawn service at club cenotaph followed by breakfast.
• Ashfield RSL Sub Branch in conjunction with Inner West Council, will hold the annual ANZAC Sunday Memorial Service at the Memorial Obelisk at Ashfield Park on Sunday, April 23, from 9.30-10.15am.
• Petersham RSL will hold their ANZAC Day Dawn Service in Petersham Town Hall from 5.40am.
• Inner West Council and Balmain-Rozelle RSL will hold an ANZAC Day Memorial Dawn Service at Balmain's Loyalty Square from 6am on Tuesday, April 25.
