IN the Supreme Court last week, permanent resident Zhen Fang was sentenced to 19 years' jail with a non-parole period of 14 years for stabbing his 26-year-old friend Ting Huang to death at a Guildford home in September 2014.
While under the influence of the drug 'ice', the 38-year-old stabbed Mr Huang 20 times before later wrapping the body in a quilt and dumping it in the boot of a car near Rookwood Cemetery.
Four days later Mr Fang told the pastor of his church what had happened, and the following day he also went to police to tell them that he had killed someone.
However because of his erratic behaviour, he was not believed and instead subjected to a mental health assessment.
Mr Huang's body was discovered a few days later and by that time he had travelled to China but returned voluntarily where he was subsequently charged with the murder.
