AHEAD of the opening of this year's Sydney Royal Easter Show on Thursday, April 6, a contingent of 30 children from Westmead Children's Hospital and Royal Far West checked out the record 381 showbags which will be on offer.
Ranging in price from $2 to $30 including more than 130 showbags for $10 or less, Sydney Show general manager, Murray Wilton says the Showbag Pavilion is aways one of the feature attractions for showgoers and this year will be no exception.
"Traditionalists will be pleased to know that the Bertie Beetle bag is back for yet another Easter Show, while for the fashionistas, there's a noticeable push towards fashion showbags this year," he said.
Mr Wilton says the three top tips for showgoers, include setting a budget, checking out the range online and making a list of what you want to buy before you leave home and to wait to buy your showbags until just before leaving the Show so you don't have to carry them all day.
"There are a number of great online savings to be made on tickets, carnival rides and food by using the Easter Show website and planning ahead of time," he said.
The Show runs from April 6-19.
