The immediate past president of Padstow Rotary, Keith has held numerous roles including Rotary District Governor and still represents the Rotary Foundation for Rotary International in Padstow’s district.
He is presently National Chair of Rotary’s MediShare which has worldwide accreditation for medical surplus recovery and distribution.
“We accept medical donations from clinical trials and other avenues before sorting it and shipping it overseas to wherever the need arises,” he said.
“For example we have sent about $15 million worth of medical supplies to Ukraine since the Russian invasion.”
He is also the present facilitator for Professionals with Alzheimer’s and Related Diseases (PALZ).
He said he suspected a Rotary colleague nominated him for the OAM win.
“I’m still coming to terms with it, it was such a big surprise but I am absolutely happy,” he said.
“It’s very gratifying to think your country recognises what you do; it’s a nice reward.”
